On Sat evening we had Kenny and Noel over for some dinner and to give them their wedding present early. We also watched an old movie that I had not seen in ages. It was a fun night.

A Sunday Full of Painting

Last Sunday I had to work at REI due to a big sale and so Ana and Sarah partied at Denny's. Good friend are a blessing for sure.

REI Challenge Grant

 

A true blessing from the Lord happened yesterday. Last week I sent off an application for the REI Challenge Grant. This is a program set up to enable employees to achieve a new outdoor activity that is challenging and new to them.  REI takes these apps and picks out the ones that they want to sponsor and give gear to.  

I received $300 worth of riding short, jacket and panniers. I applied to have this gear for my double century (200 miles) ride on Sept 7^th . Im gonna love rocking this gear for REI.

Fire Sunset

Last night Ana made the most amazing dinner. Very hearty, felt like stepping back in time to a small cottage in the Netherlands:)

After dinner we went to the beach for a fire. Love doing this

She Rides to Work

Yestderday morning Ana embarked on riding to work. Some people call this "going green", but they are usally left wing tree huggers who need to take shower. I like to say it simply we are saving some $$$ on gas and it's great for the heart and mind.

The Irvine Stay

Ana and I headed up to Irvine this weekend to enjoy the rest of our package from our honeymoon at the Crown Plaza. The rest was so nice as we sat several times in the hot tub and sauna.
