A Date, a Train with my Mate

On Sunday Ana and I took the Coaster up  north where we used to live in Encinitas. This is a great ride since it goes along the water and has some great views.

GO GO GO

Since being married I have really caught on to the coffee thing. It's been a thing of great importance.

Don't see these in CO or Mt very often

Art's Birthday Party

Last night Ana and I joined the celebration of Art's Birthday. It was a fun time, even being the youngest couple there.

Art tells stories very well. He used to own a plastic forming business and traveled all over the world with it.

Goodbye to Sheila

Yesterday Ana and I sold the Impala to a nice family in need of a car.

Since Sheila was inline for some future expensive repairs we felt it best to get a better price for it now then to wait.

I always loved the cop look of it.

Always kept it super clean

At 165,500 she is super clean for the high milage

Commute to Work

Today I thought that I would share about my commute to work. My ride is 10 miles with a small hill in the middle. It's an easy ride and very enjoyable.

The local dog that barks at everybody

This is Santee Lakes. It is a local water treatment plant and a recreation area. Ana love to spend time here.

Going up the 52. This is the climb that gets me into shape.

Off to the right is Mission Trails. This is a huge preserve that is full of trails.

The final mile to work.

Blood Type

Ana and I have been studying about blood types. Ana knew that she was an O but I had no idea what mine was. Today we received our Home-Kit that allows you to drain our blood onto this piece of paper and 5 min later it reveals the type. This picture below says that I am an O-. There is this whole book on correcting ones diet according to your blood type. The main points for us Os are to have red meat 5 times a week and stay away from bread and gluten. This makes sense since bread never settles well with me. The book also goes into exercise and emotion benefits. Pretty interesting.

LA Jesus Culture Conferance

Ana and I had the great privilege to attend this 3 day event in heart of downtown Los Angeles. We both were blown away at God's presence and love.

LA is a big place. Even coming from San Diego we still feel like we are rural people coming to the "big city". Its a desperate place in need of God's love.

We were able to get a nice discount through REI at Best Western.

This is how we saved some $$ by cooking in the hotel room. This was probably illegal to have a propane stove in the room but we had a good time eating well.

What was really nice was the breakfast that the hotel provided.

So cool to see "Jesus Culture" posted all over LA.

7000 people were there for all three days. It's one of the best things to experience.

We were able to meet with James and Susan. Susan and I went to 247 together and randomly found out that we were both going to Jesus Culture. We all had a great time catching up on old times.
