A Broken Gear

Today on a Sunday afternoon. I did some necessary repairs on the pickup. First I took the steering column apart and tightened up the loosesness it had. Second the defrost stopped working. Come to find out the actuator box that switches the flap to defrost had one broken cog and was causing it to bind and not rotate. Fixed the cog and saved some $$$ (Ana always likes that) yay for having defrost again. 

Mech 4

Today I got my mechanical 4 liscence in the mail. This means I can work under a liscenced mechanical contractor in the hvac field.  However since I am already studying gas codes I'm going to take my mechanical contractors test for the next step higher I just have to be in the field for some time before I can become referred by a hvac company that I know what I'm doing. But I can do the studying now to get the test out of the way. Head knowledge now then field experience to come.

Today Ana sent me this pic of Luke. They went for a walk since tomorrow it will be snowy. Look at those blue eyes 

Hiking in Cheyenne State Park

This afternoon the Greens and us three went for hike in Cheyenne. Fun area. The mountain in the back ground is NORAD. Went inside one time a long time ago with Ted haggard and the new life team. Fun memories from the old times and creating new ones. 

Morning Studying

This is how I figured out how to spend the weekend with the family. One must get to Starbucks at 5am and knock out the studying.  

Class tonight

Tonight was my soldering and brazing class. Basically we have class time first and then lab time becoming pros. It's a good group of people To learn with.

New to us desk.

This weekend we found a good roll top desk. Ana needed more work space for tax season. Rachael has given her more clients and thus more papers to file.   

The Hunt

On Sunday and Monday joe and I went on a Nebraska doe hunt.  Very nice area with lots of public CRP river land.  The season opens up again sept 1st for more does. Well worth the five our drive. 

Wedding Time

Last sat was Joel and Samantha's wedding. Very nice and a good time seeing old friends.  Probably a wee bit  more expensive than ours ;).  

A rehearsal dinner

Tonight was Joel and Samantha's rehearsal dinner.  A bunch of people. I am the attached husband to Ana as she is a bridesmaid but I was able to make some new friends. 

A shelf and a gun

Last night Ana went to help Samantha with some wedding details and sanity and Luke and I completed a project of building a garage shelf.  Very nice to have  things a little more organized. 

Then tonight I sighted in the rifle at our new indoor 100yrd range. Very nice to be inside and to push a button and the target comes all the way back. Hopefully those Nebraska deer stand still long enough to get a shot off. 

An early anniversary dinner

Thanks to the Hutchisons we went out to eat Mexican for an early anniversary. Three years going on four. Luke even came to celebrate. Many more good years to come. Always fun to think about what and where we'll be in a few years. 

A birthday dinner

Last night Ana and I went to a very nice resturant. It was fondue at the Mona Lisa I had the wild game selection which had elk, duck, fish, and some other kinds. We had a good time and fun to et dressed up. Happy birthday babe. Love you. 

A Hike

We recently went on a hike with our new pack for Luke he is now just big enough to fit in it. I can already invision some longer hikes this summer

What a great season we had with Christmas. We went to allot of parties and connected with some new people. Now the new year is upon us. 

Coffee Choices

If Ana and I admitted we had a vice it would be coffee. I got up this morning early to study for finals and got our third choice out for making coffee.  There is actually a fourth choice not shown.  Each coffee maker does have a  taste to it. It's been my fuel lately. 

Getting Certs Done

It is coming to a close for this fall semester. It has been a big push to work, have family time and take five classes.  But it is rewarding to get two certs so far. There are many more to come and one big one next month.  The fatigue is all worth it.  

Christmas Tree Hunting.

This weekend we went on a deadly Christmas tree hunt.  We came out succsesful.  I'm not sure if Luke knew what was going on but he was entertained by all the colored lights.  However even if he isn't excited about Christmas at least his parents are excited for him.

Today after church we had lunch with Aaron and Bobbie Joe and Luke was the star of lunch.

Yesterday on the job sight I had a little helper from the homeowners. He loved the ladder.  

Wortham at the park

Yesterday we went to Denver and meet up with the Wortham family.  It was fun to catch up and see each other's family.  Aaron is in full time computar programming school. Fun day.
